Meet Our Team
Owner/Designer
Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer (CKD, CBD), Julie Williams has more than 30 years of experience in the design industry. In addition to her degree from CSU, Long Beach, Julie has completed an intense two-year architectural/interior space design program. After interning with an interior design firm, she was offered employment at The Laguna Niguel Design Center which serves the design trade. In 1987, while employed at the kitchen showroom of Design Works, she had the opportunity to be trained by Ellen Cheever, a Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer who has authored many of the industry's design principles and standard training manuals. After opening her own business, The Design Factor, in Southern California, Julie relocated to Northern California in 1991, where she established Julie Williams Design.
One of the most important aspects of her design style is her philosophy of form follows function. Develop a great layout first, then make it beautifulāincorporating the client's style and turning their wish list into reality.

What is a CKD/CBD?
The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) has special certifications for qualified members. To become a Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) and/or a Certified Bath Designer (CBD) requires extensive professional experience and education which only a select group of designers attain.
